Ansel Adams Ansel Adams was a wilderness and landscape photographer who lived from 1902 to 1984. He originally became famous from his Yosemite series. Ansel Adams was also a wildlife conservationist, he used super high apertures and large medium format film cameras to capture the detail and beauty of the american west. Ansel Adams was self employed and went to Yosemite in 1916 with his family and came back the next year with a camera and tripod the next year. I personally like the detail that gets captured in the landscapes that Ansel Adams shoots. I selected Ansel adams to do my photographer research project on because I had seen his work in childhood and fell in love with the beauty of Yosemite. I also Love how (most not all) of his photos show the scale of everything and they kinda make you feel like a little spec.
